Moon Area Band Parent Organization Meeting
December 4, 2017

The meeting was called to order at 7:05pm. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
The minutes from the November 2017 meeting have been posted. Motion to accept the minutes was made by Andrea Ward and seconded by Cindy Stathers.
Treasurer’s Report, Vicki Hricz
The Treasurer’s Report was not available due to the meeting being moved up. The bank statement was not available this early in the month.
Band Director’s Comments, Mr. Nick Barthen
PMEA Jazz Honors Festival - Fri/Sat 4pm concert
Jazz band auditions - Dec 14th - all make it and will be placed into two bands
Student groups will be playing back to back Sunday at the Pancake Breakfast
Concert Band/Symphonic Band rehearsals coming up for the concert
Upcoming concerts: Chorus 12/19, Instrumental 12/20
Pit orchestra sign-ups: sign-up soon before break
Florida trip: rehearsals, parent meeting, and chaperone meeting - TBA

Umbrellas - Still available for $15 each.
Winter Instrumental Concert - Volunteers are needed to take donations at the concert. Report time is 6pm with a concert start time of 7pm.

Pancake Breakfast/Cookie Walk - Volunteers are still needed. Please see the Sign-Up Genius. Parent volunteers are needed to help Saturday with donation collection and to supervise the students.

All surplus candy, pop, and gatorade has been sold.
Aramark, Heather Park
The Aramark opportunity was explained to those in attendance. Heather read an email from Aramark regarding the possibility of NPOs losing a spot due to low participation. More volunteers equals a higher payout. The average payout for a Steeler’s game is about $95 before the 15% that is given to the General Fund. Anyone interested in the Aramark opportunity or anyone with questions please contact Heather Park. This presentation also prompted a discussion about how to increase involvement with everything in our organization.
Publicity, Grace Cap
Senior Rec pictures are still available for pick-up from Grace Cap. Pictures will be available at the Pancake Breakfast and again at the Winter Concert.
Next meeting is scheduled for 1/18/18 @ 7:00pm. Meeting is preceded by a closed Executive Board meeting @ 6:00pm.
With no further comments or questions, a motion to adjourn was made by Mrs. Collier and seconded by Mrs. Colangelo. The meeting was adjourned at 8:40pm.
