Moon Area Band Parent Organization

Meeting began at 7:02 pm. The pledge was recited.

We will continue to meet in the grassy area as long as weather allows.
Band camp was different, but still went well.
DiBella’s donated all the food for the senior lunch during band camp. Thank you to DiBella’s! All the seniors signed a thank-you card.
We may consider DiBella’s for future fundraisers.
Treasurer, Ralph Canterbury
Ralph gave the treasurer’s report. Motion to accept was made by Mrs. Gribben. Seconded by Mr. Ruppel.
Fundraising, Georganna Palmer
Apparel order is due tonight.
Lottery fundraiser tickets/money are due August 27.
Please don’t use the band mailbox for now! Mr. B has a box for collecting forms/payments at practice.
Mattress sale funds will be in student accounts soon.
Next fundraiser: St. Johnsbury candles.

The mattress sale generated about $1000 for the general fund.

Thanks for helping with band camp.
It’s difficult to not have both bands practicing together.
First football game – September 11 (of course, subject to change)
For return to in-person school, coverings will be needed for all instrument bells/woodwinds. We will need sewing volunteers!!
Studies on aerosols while playing instruments show that coverings are effective.
Senior rec is being planned. No date yet.
Uniform portrait – uniforms can be signed out for pictures.
We will have band pictures. No details yet.
There are 3 home football games.
Info will be on TEAMS soon.

Aerosol covers for instruments is being funded by an anonymous donation.
Sewing volunteers – help needed!
Help is needed with trailer maintenance. Emails went out according to the volunteer signup form.
Senior yard notes – some old ones are falling apart. Work is being done on planning this.
This was not a typical meeting. Usually there is more talk about planning and competitions.
