Motion to make the meeting a Zoom meeting due to COVID-19 presented by Beckie Tobin and seconded by Ginny Kotok. Meeting began at 7:15pm. The pledge was recited.

 

Treasurer, Karren Wood

Treasurer’s report was given. Motion to accept by Carla Collier and seconded by Sharri Rupple

 

Bylaw Change

A motion to put in place a new Vice President position and eliminate the Fundraising Chair becoming President if the President was unable to perform their duties was put forth last month. A secret voting poll was conducted through Zoom. After we conclude that a quorum was met we will announce the results at next month’s meeting.

 

MABPO President, Andrea Ward

We will move forward as if things are still proceeding. The Band Banquet in May is still on until we hear otherwise. Please know that things are fluid and subject to change.

 

Fundraising and Senior Memory Books, Georganna Palmer

  • April 2nd at 4pm Newme Pies will be available for pick up at Georganna’s house. If it is a warm day, please come early as she does not have a freezer to store the pies or keep them chilled.
  • Spring Fling Raffle tickets are due by March 31st.
  • The mattress sale will most likely be rescheduled for July 25th.
  • Due to COVID-19 we will not be holding the 3rd hoagie or popcorn fundraisers.

 

Senior Memory Books- A letter will go out to senior parents asking for 10-15 photos of their senior growing up to be sent digitally to the memory book committee by mid-April.

 

Concessions, Ginny Kotok & Heidi Anderson

We are looking for two people to take over concessions. If interested please contact Ginny.

Nominations Committee Chair, Amy Clark

We have our committee consisting of Amy Clark, Christine Snyder and Deanna Masunaga.

Please get your nominations in. We have two open positions that must be filled, one being Treasurer and the other is Concessions. Voting will take place at the April meeting.

 

Band Director, Nick Barthen

  • As you all know, information was sent out about this year’s trip being cancelled due to COVID-19. We waited in order to receive the most refund as possible. It will take as much as 12 weeks to receive these refunds. We will be fully refunded by most vendors and should expect about 90% to 95% refunded from your total paid.
  • Do not contact the trip insurance people. There is a process to go through and you will be contacted with more in formation when we have it.
  • Any checks, cash or money orders that were paid towards the trip can be refunded back to you.
  • If the funds came from fundraising they will go back into the students account to use later or for an upcoming sibling.

 

  • The Jergles concert has been canceled.

 

  • If we are able to go back to school by April 14th, everything will go on as planned with the exception of the trip, which is canceled.

 

  • The musical has been rescheduled for the last week in April.

 

  • Online learning starts Monday, March 30th. I will have a few assignment format options for the students to choose from. All teachers have office hours but we cannot get in the building. Any issues with Skyward or computers there are tech people available. Please do not be afraid to ask for help.

 

Scholarship Committee, Amy Clark

We have formed a committee consisting of Amy Clark, Amy Patterson, Sarah Schmitz and Toni Edwards. Information regarding senior scholarships will be out shortly.

 

 

Motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:30pm by Amy Patterson and seconded by Patty Colangelo.

Next meeting is scheduled for Thursday April 16, 2020 @ 7:00pm.

Meeting is preceded by a closed Executive Board meeting at 6:00pm.
