Meeting called to order at 7:04pm. The pledge was recited.

MABPO President, Andrea Ward

Help is needed with the Pancake Breakfast fundraiser. Adult volunteers are needed for set up on Saturday. Many hands make light work. More bakers are needed to bake for the cookie walk as well. Georganna will talk about this in more detail. This is historically the largest fundraiser for the band. The profit raised goes to the general fund which benefits all marching band students. The general fund helps pay for lunches, fees for competitions, props, coach buses, and music rights to the shows among other things. We fundraise to keep our marching band free of charge for the students. In order to sustain itself and continue this tradition we all need to participate and fundraise.

In January we will be forming a nominations committee. We will need 3 to 4 people to volunteer to be on this committee to accept nominations for next year’s board positions and to run the election. All volunteer board positions are open and up for nominations, if you would like to run or know someone that would be a good fit for a position please let the nominations committee know. The following positions that must be filled for next year are as follows:

  • President
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • VP of Concessions

Elections take place in the spring.

Deanna Masunaga has volunteered to be a part of the nominations committee. Thank you Deanna.

Treasurer, Karren Wood

Treasurer’s report was given. Motion to accept by Shari Ruppel and seconded by Lynne VandenBosche.
