DINE TO DONATE: Texas Roadhouse this Wednesday, March 25th

WINTER GUARD: Winter guard needs more floor crew volunteers for the final competition on March 28th.  Report time for floor crew is 3:30 on Saturday.

CONCESSIONS: Moon Band has been asked again to supply concessions for the Region 22 Karate Tournament. All proceeds from the stand go directly to the Moon Band General Fund. This event takes place on Saturday April 18th starting at 9am and goes till midday located at the CCBC Golden Dome in Hopewell. Please consider signing up as a volunteer and or donating some of the supplies needed on the sign ups. Donations can be dropped off on Thursday April 16 at 5:30pm in front of the high school natatorium. If you need to set up a different drop off please email Stephanie Haas at woogitrae@gmail.com

You may wonder why we have been asked to do this event.  In the past local groups have taken on the responsibility of the event's concessions.  When the last group decided not to participate after many years the organization reached out to us via the Haas Family as both of their boys have been members of the Association for many years. The Region 22 Tournament takes place once a year for all members of all ranks to meet in friendly competition. Students prepare and enjoy the day in a very family-like environment. In some aspects it reminds me a lot of our band community.  This opportunity could not come at a better time with all the unknowns for next season while our stadium is being rebuilt. This event will help us to keep adding to our general fund while we work through the bumps of next year. Thank you in advance for your help in making this year another success.

SCHOLARSHIP: The Moon Area Band Parent Organization, Inc., is excited to announce its Annual Instrumental Music Scholarship Awards. Eligible Seniors can also pick up a paper copy of the packet from Mr. Bathan if you do not have access to email. All application packets are due back by April 20th.  You can email your completed packet to scholarship@moonband.org. Should you choose to mail in your completed packet it must be postmarked by April 20th to be eligible for consideration.  You can mail packets to Scholarship Committee Attn:  Melissa Wertz 1490 Coraopolis Heights Rd. Moon Township, PA 15108. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at scholarship@moonband.org

PICTURES: Parents who wish to contribute some of their own pictures from the stands or other interactions are welcome to do so at this link.  Please note that contributions will be reviewed prior to posting in the SmugMug gallery.  Please take a moment to consider your contributions and make sure they are bright enough, clear, and do not upload excessive variations of the same picture.  If you wish to participate in more robust media coverage, contact Ted Merklin (pictures@moonband.org) to discuss.
