Percussion Ensemble

The Percussion Ensemble meets daily during the school day. All MAHS percussionists are members of the percussion ensemble and serve as the percussion section for all bands and orchestras. The percussion ensemble prepares marching band selections in the fall, studies and performs concert percussion ensemble selections, and prepares ensemble music for the Concert Band and Symphonic Band in the fall, winter and spring. The Concert Percussion ensemble performs at local high school and collegiate percussion festivals, and has performed with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra in Heinz Hall in 2005 and again in 2010. The ensemble also shared a concert and master classes with The Morehead State University Percussion Ensemble from Morehead, Kentucky, under the direction of Mr. Frank Oddis.
