Fundraising through Heinz Field and PNC Park Concessions is a great way to earn money to pay for all of your child’s future band expenses.  Many parents who participate pay nothing out of pocket for Away Band Camp, Disney Trips, and uniform needs.  The next event to work at Heinz Field is a Pitt game on Saturday, October 6th with a report time TBD.  There will also be a Steelers Game on Sunday, October 7th with a 9:30 report time and 1:00 start time.  All necessary training can be done from home!  Please contact Heather Park at to get started.

Student accounts are current through the September 8th payouts from working at both PNC and Heinz fields. They also include September hoagie sales.  I just received your individual formal wear, hoagie sale, and September raffle checks at the meeting on Thursday night. They will all be deposited this week.  Thank you.

Formal wear pickup will be on Tuesday, October 2nd between 4:15 and 5:45 PM in the band room. Each student must try it on to assure a good fit as soon as possible.  Students/Parents will not be permitted to take home the formal wear until it has been tried on in the presence of Mrs. Wolf.  We have a limited window of opportunity to exchange items with the vendor, so this process must be done in a timely manner.  If this date does not work for you, please contact Denise at uniforms@moon band to reschedule.
Trousers and gowns come UNHEMMED from the manufacturer, and YOU are responsible for the hemming.  On Tuesday, we will have a sewer on hand who will be happy to measure your garment for a fee of $15 per tux or $20 per gown.  This is absolutely your choice to do or not.  You may, of course, hem it yourself.  If you wish for Mrs. Park to do your hemming, please bring payment to the fitting.
Finally, it is best if you bring the shoes you will wear with your formal wear.  This is especially true if you wish for Mrs. Park to do your hemming!

Senior Pole Notes are up! Please consider purchasing your child's note to be distributed after marching season ends. The price is $18.00 and payment should made to MABPO and can be dropped in the MABPO mailbox in the band room.

Moon Band Parent Organization has a private Facebook group where events are posted.  It is a closed group and you can request access to “Moon Area Band Parent Organization”.  You will be prompted to identify your moon band student and the year they graduate.
As a reminder, please do not post videos on social media where the general public can view them.  This is especially important as we begin the season.

Scrip gift card orders are due Friday, October 12th for delivery at the Band Parent meeting on Thursday, October 18th.
Click HERE for the schedule for monthly order and delivery dates.
Contact if you have any questions.

TRUNK OR TREAT – 10/25 – This has become a tradition to decorate parent’s vehicles and pass out candy to the kid’s ala trick-or treating around the neighborhoods/cars.  Students will dress-up for rehearsal, and trunk-or treat.  This will begin around 9:00PM.  Check for additional details and pictures from previous years events.  To make candy plans, we have 123 students in the marching band!
