SPRING FLING BASKET RAFFLE
All Spring Fling tickets and payment are due on Tuesday, March 27. Stubs and payments must be received by Tuesday because it is a holiday break. We will not have access to the band room over the break. The drawing will be based on the 7 PM PA Daily Number on Friday, March 30.
*Delivery of both the Sarris Chocolate and NewMe's Pies fundraisers will be on Tuesday, March 27, from 4-5:30 PM, in the high school cafeteria. Please be prompt. Some items are perishable and we have no way to store them. Thank you!

The annual spaghetti dinner is just around the corner on Sunday, April 15. Many small groups will be performing during the event. We will need many parents and students to help make this event successful. Students can earn money for their student accounts by working shifts at the dinner. Sign-up sheets will be posted in the band room after Spring Break. HERE is a sign-up genius link to volunteer your time or to donate items. Pittsburgh Popcorn fundraiser delivery will be on Wednesday, April 4, from 4-5:30 in the high school cafeteria.

If you are interested in working Concessions at PNC Park to raise money for your Band student, please contact Heather Park at email@example.com. This is a great time to build up your students' accounts before Band Camp and in anticipation of future expenses. PNC Park offers a wider variety of days and times to work, so it better fits many parents' schedules. Please consider joining us!

MOON AREA WINTER GUARD
Congratulations to our indoor Winter Color Guard for placing 1st at East Allegheny during their fourth Three Rivers Winter Ensemble Association (TRWEA) competition this season. Championships are April 7th at Kiski. For more information, visit www.trwea.org. Come on out and support our Color Guard!!

The following positions are available for Job Shadow:
BAND UNIFORM COORDINATOR JOB SHADOW: Responsible for all aspects of band uniform care and fitting. Will coordinate uniform fittings and alterations during summer months, record keeping, uniform assignments, coordinate shoe order (including guard), uniform cleaning (done by professional cleaners) coordinate the chaperoning of uniforms (including guard) before/after any event requiring a uniform (football games, competitions, parades, concerts, etc.). Coordinate Band, C/G & Orchestra Jacket orders. Works as a team with Color Guard Uniform Coordinator and Formal Wear Coordinator.
COLOR GUARD/WINTER GUARD UNIFORM COORDINATOR JOB SHADOW: Responsible for all aspects of uniform care and fitting. Works as a team with Band Uniform Coordinator and Flag Sewing Coordinator.

Congratulations - The Cast, Crew, and Pit Orchestra for the Wizard of Oz!
Congratulations to the MAHS Winter Color Guard on a 1st place showing at the East Allegheny TRWEA Show this past weekend. This was the last regular season show for the guard. Up next is TRWEA Championships at Kiski Area High School on Saturday, April 7.
Elementary Faculty Basket Ball Game Pep Band
Ms. Iksic will be organizing a 4th-12th grade pep band for the Elementary Faculty Basketball game on March 27. This is open to students in grades 4th-12th. Students should report to the H.S. Band room at5:30pm on 3/27. The game starts at 6pm and should conclude approximately 8pm.

- The MAHS Jazz Ensemble Concert will be Friday, May 11 beginning at 7PM in the H.S. Auditorium. We will feature guest jazz saxophonist, Mr. Ralph Lalama with Jazz Band 1.
The Percussion Ensemble will still perform on Monday, May 7 at 7PM in the H.S. Auditorium.
Private Instrumental Lessons
Private Instrumental lessons is a great way to excel on your instrument. Not only will you learn specific techniques on your instrument, from a teacher who is an expert on your instrument, but also it will open doors to new repertoire, solo, ensemble, etc. Private lessons will also provide confidence when performing in an ensemble or auditioning for any PMEA festival. Contact Mr. Barthen for a complete list of private instructors in the area.

Under PA Law Act 153, The State of Pennsylvania is requiring all adults who volunteer in any capacity within the school to obtain background checks. This will include parents who volunteer to chaperone the MAHS Marching Band at football games, parades, band camps, and trips. Chaperones are required to complete the PA State Police Criminal Background Check, Child Abuse History, and FBI Fingerprints. The FBI Fingerprint is only if the volunteer has not been a state of PA resident for at least 10 years. Please visit http://www.keepkidssafe.pa.gov for additional information.

2. Required for volunteers who have lived outside of PA in the last 10 years
3. Register on website
4. Take form to UPS Store or other Cogent Fingerprinting location
5. Receive clearance and contact MABPO Secretary to arrange for original to be copied.
