1) Put the digital copies of the photos you’d like to use in a folder on your computer labeled with your student’s name.
2) Right click on the folder.
3) Send to Compressed (zipped) folder.
4) The result should be “Student”.
5) Email the “Student” folder to

We ask that you please provide photos of your child no later than April 1, 2019
to ensure ample time for their inclusion in year-end materials.
If you are interested in helping with the senior memory books or have any questions, please contact Grace Cap or Georganna Palmer at
Thank you!

You will be asked to update your Senior Profile in the next week so that it is up to date for the band banquet.  Please, return the forms as soon as possible.

If you are interested in raising money for your Band student by working at PNC Park this upcoming season, now is the time to sign up for Grand Slam Training.  There is currently one available training date, March 26th from 4:45-9:00.  This is a great opportunity to start filling those accounts in anticipation of next year's trip.  Most parents who participate pay nothing or very little for the Band Trips.  I am also looking for one more person to be a Co-Coordinator for the Aramark Fundraising Program.  It's fun and easy and a great way to get involved in the Band Parent Organization.  Please contact Heather Park ( to sign up for the training or answer any questions.

he Nominations Committee are accepting nominations for the 2019/2020 Executive Board Committee.  If you are interested in running for a position in April, please send your name and desired position to  before the March meeting.  The Nominations Committee will prepare a slate of candidates. The Executive Board Committee includes the following positions:

VP of Communications
VP of Concessions
VP of Corporate Partnership
VP of Fundraising
VP of Publicity

Descriptions for each position can be found in our by-laws but it's always best to speak with those who have been doing it!  Feel free to reach out and ask questions!   Contact information is on the band website. The Officer Responsibilities (job descriptions) for Executive Board committee members are also on the website under the Info Tab - Parent Organization.
Additionally, if you would like to job shadow the current MABPO president, please contact Andrea at

If you have not yet paid for your Senior Pole Note, please drop your payment in the box in the band room.  THANKS!

Students accounts now include the money for shifts worked for the pancake breakfast as well as for tickets sold.  They also include events worked for Aramark through January 8, 2019.

Karren and Ginny are looking for volunteers to manage the concession stand for the 2020 marching band season. Anyone interested should contact Karren or Ginny. Ideally two people should co-manage the stand. Those interested would shadow Karren and Ginny this fall.

Moon Band Parent Organization has a private Facebook group where events are posted.  It is a closed group and you can request access to “Moon Area Band Parent Organization”.  You will be prompted to identify your moon band student and the year they graduate.
As a reminder, please do not post videos on social media where the general public can view them.  This is especially important as we begin the season.

Don’t forget to order your Scrip gift cards for the Spring Fling Raffle. Sign up on the signup genius and then place the order online at or contact me to order. Either way let me know what cards are for the raffle. Orders are due Friday, March 15th. Contact if you have any questions.
