The Sarris Candies fundraiser orders and payments are due on Tuesday, November 13.
Tickets for the Black Friday Bountiful Basket Raffle fundraiser were mailed last week. We will raffle off a basket filled with area gift cards valued at over $300. Tickets and information sheets will be mailed to you. Payment and ticket stubs will do due on Tuesday, November 20. The drawing will be based on the 7:00 PM PA daily number on Friday, November 23. If you do not receive them by the weekend, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.

The NewMe's Pies fundraiser delivery will be on Thursday, November 15, in the high school cafeteria from 4-5:45 PM. Please be prompt as these items are perishable and can not be stored at the high school. Chestnut Hill candle orders can also be picked up at this time if you have not already done so.
It is time to start planning for our 8th annual Pancake Breakfast and Cookie Walk. This a beloved community event which includes the pancake breakfast, musical performances, Santa Claus, and a cookie walk. Tickets are $8.00 pre-order and $9.00 at the door. Children 2 and under can eat for free. The Cookie Walk is $10.00 per large container. Tickets will be mailed to you this week. Students will receive $2.00 per ticket sold into their student accounts. Pre-sale ticket money must be turned in by Thursday, December 6. Please read the information sheet included with your tickets for more information.
Please visit the Sign-up Genius links to volunteer to help at the breakfast, to donate supplies, and/or to help bake cookies. Student can also earn funds for their student accounts by volunteering to work shifts at the breakfast. The student sign-ups will be available in the band room after the Thanksgiving break.

HEINZ FIELD/PNC PARK
Fundraising through Heinz Field and PNC Park Concessions is a great way to earn money to pay for all of your child’s future band expenses. Many parents who participate pay nothing out of pocket for Away Band Camp, Disney Trips, and uniform needs. The next event to work at Heinz Field is a Steelers game on Sunday, December 2nd with a 9:30 AM report time and a 1:00 start time. All necessary training can be done from home! Please contact Heather Park at email@example.com to get started.

SENIOR POLE NOTES
Senior Pole Notes are up! Please consider purchasing your child's note to be distributed after marching season ends. The price is $18.00 and payment should made to MABPO and can be dropped in the MABPO mailbox in the band room..
Student accounts have been updated to include the Lottery Fundraiser, the Chestnut Hill Candle Fundraiser, and the NewMe Pie Fundraiser. They include all Aramark games worked through October 7th, 2018. Also, this season's glove money was given to me at the November 8th band parent meeting. Some of the checks are from August. They will be deposited this week.
And so we close on another successful Bandstand season!

Moon Band Parent Organization has a private Facebook group where events are posted. It is a closed group and you can request access to “Moon Area Band Parent Organization”. You will be prompted to identify your moon band student and the year they graduate.
As a reminder, please do not post videos on social media where the general public can view them. This is especially important as we begin the season.

Organizational Meeting for parents and students regarding the 2018/2019 edition of the MAHS Winter Color Guard. Winter guard is open to students who performed in the 2018 fall marching band color guard.
Private Instrumental Lessons
Private Instrumental lessons is a great way to excel on your instrument. Not only will you learn specific techniques on your instrument, from a teacher who is an expert on your instrument, but also it will open doors to new repertoire, solo, ensemble, etc. Private lessons will also provide confidence when performing in an ensemble or auditioning for any PMEA festival. Contact Mr. Barthen for a complete list of private instructors in the area.

Under PA Law Act 153, The State of Pennsylvania is requiring all adults who volunteer in any capacity within the school to obtain background checks. This will include parents who volunteer to chaperone the MAHS Marching Band at football games, parades, band camps, and trips. Chaperones are required to complete the PA State Police Criminal Background Check, Child Abuse History, and FBI Fingerprints. The FBI Fingerprint is only if the volunteer has not been a state of PA resident for at least 10 years. Please visit http://www.keepkidssafe.pa.gov for additional information.

2. Required for volunteers who have lived outside of PA in the last 10 years
