Moon Area Band Parent Organization Meeting
September 20, 2018

The meeting was called to order at 7:10pm. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
The minutes from the August 2018 meeting have been posted.
Treasurer’s Report, Vicki Hricz
Treasurer’s Report given, motion to accept Wendy Bloom and Amy Patterson.
Band Director’s Comments, Mr. Nick Barthen
Kisi was rained out but it went well.
We are off the next two weeks and then we are competing the next four weeks in a row.
BOA-
- 8am report time
- 10:30-10:45am departure
- 3:45pm performance time
- There are 21 bands, 7 Grand Nationalist bands competing.
- If we do not make finals we will stay and watch.
- Arriving home about 2am
We are 1/3 of the way done with the closer. It is a work in progress.
Playtest- If you see a zero in Skyward, it means they failed their playtest. All music needs to be made up and completed by next week.
President’s Comments, Andrea Ward
We have hit a snag with the tour shirts and we are working on it. We will let you know as soon as they are available to order.
Homecoming is Friday the 28th. The 8th grade band will be playing with us.
Senior Recognition Night co-chairs Wendy Bloom and Beckie Tobin have sent out the invitations to the seniors and their families.
PIMBA Championships-
We need help from everyone! This is a BIG event with 18 bands plus Slippery Rock. We are asking that each family volunteer at least 1 member to work on a committee.
We will use the Park and Ride off of University for addition parking and there will be a school bus shuttling spectators to the school.
We need a large parking crew, please consider signing up.
We will have a marketplace outside of the stadium with vendors.

PIMBA chairs will be meeting on Wednesday September 26th
PSAT for band kids starts at 6:15am Saturday October 13th. This is the same day as BOA. Thank you to Mrs. Wilhelm for setting this up for us.
We are looking for someone to put a slideshow together for Senior Rec. Night. The photos are ready to go, we just need you to create a slide show with them.
Mr. Pelkington will be hosting the senior yard note painting at his home on Monday September 24th. We are looking for a few more people to help out. If anyone is interesting in shadowing him, we need a new person to take over next year as his son is graduating.

PIMBA shirts and Tour shirts will be available soon.
Shirts may be purchased for anyone, students, parents, siblings, grandparents etc.
PIMBA shirts will have the PIMBA logo and information for the 2018 Championship, including all participants, which will be hosted at Moon.
Tour shirts are directly related to our show this year, A Time for Everything, and are great to wear to the competitions!
Next meeting is scheduled for October 18, 2018 @ 7:00pm. Meeting is preceded by a closed Executive Board meeting @ 6:00pm.
With no further comments or questions, a motion to adjourn was made by Ms. Collier and seconded by Mrs. Wolf. The meeting was adjourned at 8:19pm.
