President’s Comments, Andrea Ward

Welcome parents. Please turn in your blue volunteer form, we need you. Do not be afraid to step out and get involved, there is nothing set in stone, we would love to have you and the kids like to see you too. Some of the opportunities available are: chaperone, concession worker, trailer crew, bakers, advertising, sewers, medical, and more. We are all in this together, if you have questions about any of these, don’t be afraid to ask someone. We can’t do what we do with these kids and for these kids without parent volunteers. Questions, suggestions, concerns you may contact Andrea at president@moonband.org or any board member or seasoned parent.

Board Comments (No reports given at tonight’s meeting)-

Treasure, Vicki Hricz asks that you not staple any checks please!

Aramark Coordinator, Heather Park shared the opportunity of fundraising with Aramark at Heinz Field and PNC Park. You can make good money working the games and concerts in the concession stands at these venues. You must attend training in order to be eligible to work, contact Heather for more information. 85% of the payout for that event will go into your students account and 15% will go into the general fund. Heather encourages any couples that can work at the same time to do so, you will double your student(s) money for the day. It adds up quickly and many families that have participated in the past pay little to no out of pocket money for band camp, trips, and other expenses.

VP of Concessions, Ginny Kotok encourages everyone to take a shift in the concession stand. We are not asking for you to do every game but please consider doing at least one. We need cashiers, food prep, runners, candy sales and set up. Remember- it is always warm and dry in the concession stand!
