Meeting called to order at 7:10pm. The pledge was recited.

Treasurer’s report was given. Motion to accept by Amy Patterson, seconded by Ginny Kotok.

We are hosting Regionals here March 26-28, there is a sign up genius out and we need help in various positions. Please sign up to help with luggage, nurse, chaperones to serve beverages and food, tickets sales etc. Everything will be broken down into shifts.

We are headed into election season. Amy Clark is chair of the committee, Deanna Masunaga is volunteering as well. We are looking for one more person to help with the committee. ALL positions are open and the following positions will be vacated and will need to be filled.

This year we have had a wonderful turn out of volunteers for games and competitions but are in need of volunteers in other areas. Please consider donating your time where needed.

We are looking for volunteers to be on the Scholarship committee. This committee oversees the applications for the senior scholarship contest. Please see Andrea for details if you and able to help.

Happy New Year. Winter concerts were good. We are working on some things for the spring.

Winter Guard is off to a good start. The competitive season begins February 8th at Norwin.

Jazz bands are both off to a great start and are both full. Jazz Band 1 will be at Jergel’s Night Club Monday, April 13th to open for Balcony Big Band.

Pitt orchestra is up and running for Little Shop of Horrors. If there is anyone who wants to join, there is still time; see Barthen. The musical is March 19-22, with tech day being on Sunday, March 15th. Help needed, see sign up genius.

Don McKinny will be a guest conductor.

Music in our Schools is March 24th and symphonic band will play.

Winter Guard championship is March 28th, come support our Guard.

April 23-26 VA trip. In order to go to the Naval Base you will need to complete and submit the form that will be sent to you. It will include full name, date of birth and social security number of any persons going on to the base. This will be kept confidential.

  • 20th Symphonic and Concert Bands
  • 25th Memorial Day Parade

Graduation is Saturday, June 6th

Next band season’s summer schedule is out.

For the Love of Music:

January 25th, you can purchase tickets on line. If your child’s name is put in as a referral they will get $5 into their fundraising account. Please promote this event.

Candy apple sale is going on now.

Hoagies next Tuesday, January 21st.

Help is needed with Senior memory books. We are looking for volunteers to pull photos off of the band website and create specific collages of pages for the senior books. These need to be completed by mid-April. Please contact Georganna if you are able to help and to sign up.

General Members

Amy Patterson proposed a new VP position be added to the bylaws and read the proposal.

Andrea Ward explained the process of amending the bylaws to everyone and suggested that the roles/duties be specified in this new proposal. Verbiage for this new amendment will be presented at the next meeting in February.
